The Dream Lives on!

Sunset in Solomans
The dream of sailing to far off lands ; Sailing in local waters on our "Newell Cadet" is still alive and kicking. Last week while picking up a repaired sail from our daysailer " Lil`Bit and dropping off our new "old" sails at Quantum Sails in Soloman's Island we were pleasantly surprised to learn that the sails we brought from our `64 Cheoy Lee "Spry" , were made by Clark under a different companies name. He knew our sails! He knew of our boat! We were all so surprised. On top of that Clark sails with a friend who owned our boat 28 years or so earlier! What are the chances of that? Very exciting. Now we can get some in depth history on our boat. We look forward to contacting the former owner of Spry.
In the mean time Spry is waiting for spring as anxiously as we are. Waiting for the weather to break so we can get back on her to get her ready for the marina. While in Soloman's we also had a meeting with Zanhisers marina to get the low down on getting the boat there to power her up and get the rigging etc installed. There is light at the end of the "dream" tunnel.
